This is a very rare Special Edition of the Hitler Youth Battle Newspaper Die Fanfare, from Gebiet Westfalen-Niederrhein in western Germany. This heavily illustrated 15 x 20 inch newspaper has 24 pages and it was the second issue of Die Fanfare ever published in 1933.
The cover story is about the planned Hitler Youth march in Düsseldorf commemorating the 10th anniversary of the death of Albert Leo Schlageter. The newspaper contains several articles about the German hero who was shot by the French in 1923, and how his spirit lived on through young Germans. The different articles are accompanied by photos of Schlageter and his grave.
A wealth of early Nazi history from the western part of Nazi Germany, well-illustrated and in good used condition.
The 85 year old newspaper is somewhat brittle and discolored, but it is complete and does not have a nasty odor. No writing, nothing cut out.
