The foreword is by the Gauleiter of Gau-Köln-Aachen, Josef Grohé, a very early and very anti-Semitic member of the Nazi Party. It stresses the importance of allegiance to Adolf Hitler, the importance of education, National Socialism and the German Nation, family and aryan ancestry, racial purity, and is anti-Jewish in tone.
The last page of the book has the well-known Nazi slogan Und ihr habt doch gesiegt! (And you were victorious after all!) around an illustration of the Feldherrnhalle in Munich, the site where the November 1923 Nazi Putsch ended, and which became a Nazi shrine for the martyrs of the failed Putsch during the Third Reich.
The thick cardstock cover and pages in this 85 year old Nazi publication have yellowed a bit with age, but this 1936 example of Du und Dein Volk is complete and in very good used condition. No odor.

The Third Reich book Du und Dein Volk (You and Your Nation) was published by the NSDAP Gau-Köln-Aachen, Amt für Erzieher, the Education Department of the NS-Lehrerbund or National Socialist Teacher’s Association in 1936.
The 6-3/4 x 9-1/8 inch, 36-page book with the title and swastika lightly embossed on the front soft cover was produced for high school graduates in 1936. It was intended to be read by the graduating student but also by his or her parents and other family members.

Chapters have titles such as Your Youth, Your Ancestors, Your Community, Your Marriage - Your Children, Your Family, Your Nation, and they are illustrated with pen and ink drawings of Hitler, a viking ship, a family coat of arms, and a 1514 drawing by famous artist Albrecht Dürer.
The Jewish Question and racial theories are of course covered and there are quotes by Hitler including Du bist nichts, dein Volk ist alles! which translates as “your are nothing, your nation is everything!”.
