Wegbereiter deutscher Luftgeltung (Important Trailblazers of German Aviation) is a very interesting Nazi book containing Neun Lebensbilder (Nine Life Stories) of German aviation pioneers Generalleutnant Friedrich Christiansen, Claudius Dornier, Gerhard Fieseler, Ernst Heinkel, Wolf Hirth, Hellmuth Hirth, Willy Messerschmitt, Carl August Freiherr von Gablenz and Zeppelin pilot Hugo Eckener.
The 5-½ x 8-¼ inch light blue linen hardcover book has beautiful silver blocking on the embossed front cover and spine. It has 258 pages plus 32 glossy pages with photos of
Reichsluftfahrtminister Hermann Göring, NSFK Korpsführer Generalleutnant Friedrich Christiansen with Adolf Hitler, Zeppelin Captain Lehmann aboard the
Luftschiff Graf Zeppelin, the Hindenburg above NYC, a Fieseler Storch and other Fieseler airplanes, Hermann Göring with Gerhard Fieseler, a Dornier sea plane on the Grand Canal of Venice, the Ju 90 and Dornier Do 18 Zephir, the Heinkel Factory, the He 111, He 113 and He 115, Wolf, Albert and Hellmuth Hirth,

The book was written by Rolf Italiaander who also authored books about Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen, Italo Balbo, German gliding pioneer and sailplane designer Wolf Hirth and female pilots Elly Beinhorn and Hanna Reitsch. He is shown left with Ernst Heinkel.
Wegbereiter deutscher Luftgeltung, Neun Lebensbilder was published by Büchergilde Gutenberg of Berlin in 1941 and this example comes with its original color dust jacket which was laminated by a previous owner to preserve it. The name stamp of a previous owner is on the front flyleaf.
The book is in very nice condition with a tight spine and it has no odor. Fundamental to any library of Third Reich aviation books.
