This is a very good used example of the 5-3/4 x 8-1/8 inch, 36 page illustrated softcover Weapon Booklet of the Army called Die Infanterie (The Infantry) published by the Oberkommando des Heeres with a foreword by Generalfeldmarschall Walther von Brauchitsch. It was published for the OKH by Deutscher Volksverlag and printed by NS-Gauverlag Tirol. It is undated, but probably printed late in 1940 or in 1941.

This practical promotional booklet for future Wehrmacht soldiers starts with a Hitler quote about the importance of the Infantry, and excerpts from a Hitler speech dated 19 July 1940. It has some history about the infantry, their role in World War II so far and many photos of Nazi infantry troops in action, with machine guns, heavily artillery (drawn by horses and military vehicles), mountain troopers, communication troops and equipment, mine layers, mine removers, etc. There is also a chapter about promotion possibilities for infantry soldiers.

Inside the back cover is a large, highly-detailed drawing of the Nazi Infantry Assault Badge (das Infanterie Sturmabzeichen) and on the back cover there is a color illustration of an Infantry Standard.

Complete and in very good used condition. No odor. NOT a modern reprint, but 100% original to the Third Reich period.
