This is a lot of nine rare Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Lehrhefte, heavily illustrated NSFK educational softcover books dated 1939 in their original Third Reich binder. The title page of each publication states it is for service use only. There are a total of 534 very well-illustrated pages.
The nine 6 x 8-¼ inch Lehrhefte cover subjects such as the history of aviation, the organization of the Wehrmacht (German Armed Forces), the structure of the Luftwaffe, aviation law, air traffic, aviation communications, aviation instruction, airplane studies, meteorology, airplane engine studies, and navigation.
Heft 4 has a fold-out in the back showing airline routes all over the world.
Heft 8 has a color fold-out of a lubricant circuit of a BMW 132 airplane engine (shown right).
Both are in pristine condition and look like they were unfolded only once by us.

In these rare NSFK publications there are pictures of 19th century German aviation hero Otto Lilienthal, the World War I Von Richthofen brothers, Helmut Hirth, Oswald Boelcke, Max Immelmann, as well as later Third Reich aviators like Hanna Reitsch. |

Other images show zeppelins, WWI airplanes, a machine gun mounted on a World War I plane, hot air balloons and barrage balloons, Third Reich pictures of HJ boys with sail planes, airplane engines, parts and instruments, high-altitude airplane cameras, and dozens of line drawings of airplane engine parts and systems.

There is a full double-page color plate showing the most important Luftwaffe uniforms, insignia and badges, a list of recipients of the Pour Le Mérite, a picture of the model of Tempelhof airport in Berlin, NSFK-Korpsführer General Christiansen meeting with sailplane fliers at the Wasserkruppe (above), etc. |

These 1939 Lehrhefte have been protected during the last 8+ decades by their original 6 x 8-3/8 inch Luftwaffe blue binder with the big NSFK insignia on its front cover. The thin rawhide straps that made it possible to add additional volumes are original. While the binder cover is somewhat faded, the covers of the individual 85 year old NSFK booklets are not.
Published for the NSFK-Korpsführer by Dr. M. Matthiesen & Co. of Berlin, these nine (out of ten) rare Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Lehrhefte are in excellent condition. The original owner, Karl Joachim Grieser, stamped his name and address on the title page of each volume. No odor.
This rare lot of lot of nine 1939 NSFK Lehrhefte is ** SOLD **
