Huge programmable jacquard-type looms were used to produce endless bands of repeating, multi-color insigne such as this one. It is an original unused Third Reich woven cloth emblem of the DDAC, the abbreviation for Der Deutsche Automobil Club or The German Automobile Club. The red, white, black and ivory ribbon like material measures 70 mm (about 2-¼ inches) from side to side and 100 mm (4 inches) from top to bottom. The background color on the front side of this insignia has a slightly ivory or off-white tint to it.
Below is a reference picture that shows a 1936 advertisement by the Bandfabrik Ewald Vorsteher, showing this DDAC Webabzeichen or cloth emblem they made amongst other Nazi era emblems of the RAD, HJ, RLB, etc. The trade name BEVO was a contraction of the four underlined letters in the name of the company.
Absolutely 100% original to the Third Reich, condition exactly as shown.
